I have been traveling all my life. As a child, I went everywhere with my parents. As an adult, I go most places by myself. It is the only way I can guarantee that I get to do and see everything I want. I am an only child -- a lone wolf -- and that fuels my desire to keep going the road alone, to keep doing things when I want, where I want, and how I want. It might sound selfish, but I have an agenda; I go somewhere to see all the places I've dreamed of -- and more. I like to walk down interesting looking streets and alleyways, find unique buildings and architecture, and see things that make you stop for a minute, catch your breath, and realize exactly where you are and how amazing it is that you have finally made it here.
Travel is an amazing thing. It lets us experience a variety of cultures, lifestyles, and our differences and similarities alike. You see things you've dreamed about, read about, or have only seen on TV. You stumble upon things you knew existed, but you didn't think you'd see there. You try different foods and drinks, learn new languages, dances and histories, and meet locals to make lasting friendships.
Wherever you go, you may never know what's around the corner, until you go around the corner and look. That's what I want you to do -- don't go to the tourist places just because they're famous places, go to the places that you genuinely find interesting. On your way there, go down the streets that catch your eye. Walk into the buildings with the intricate designs on the outside, because they are most likely just as beautiful -- if not more so -- on the inside. You never know if or when you will be back in this land, so make the most of your time following your heart through the destination it led you to in the first place.
I am very excited to tell you about all of my travels, where I have been and where I hope to visit someday. I've traveled by plane, train, car, bus, boat, and foot to get where I
Enjoy my blog, and have safe and happy travels!
